Republic Services plans new office, jobs in Fishers

FISHERS, Ind. (AP) - Waste management company Republic Services says it is opening a corporate office in the Indianapolis suburb of Fishers that will create as many as 469 jobs by 2025.

The Phoenix-based company said Thursday that it will invest $13.6 million to lease, renovate and equip a 68,000-square-foot office space in Fishers. A news release sent by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation says the customer resource center is expected to operational by Sept. 1.

According to the release, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Republic Services up to $4.5 million in conditional tax credits based on its job creation plans. The company wouldn't be eligible to claim incentives until Indiana residents are hired.
