BP to move 200 workers from Naperville to Chicago
BP America Inc. in Naperville will move about 200 workers by midyear to its offices at 30 S. Wacker in downtown Chicago, a company spokesman said.
Employees in the company's U.S. pipelines and logistics units, and most employees in the procurement, finance and human resources departments are moving. No other moves are planned, BP spokesman Michael Abendhoff said.
"The move is designed to create better integration among employees in the region," he said.
Chicago officials have not provided any incentives for the move, Abendhoff said.
BP owns the Naperville campus and will continue to house about 1,400 employees there. It is the hub for several units, including global aromatics, refining technology & engineering and global business services, he said.
