Wauconda Area Public Library celebrates Shakespeare

The Wauconda Area Public Library honored Shakespeare on Saturday with songs from the Elizabethan Era.
Nine students from the Wauconda High School Madrigal singers, dressed in period clothing, kicked off the event with a performance.
"We are so proud of this talented group of students," said Terri Suda, the library's programming supervisor.
Following the singers, The Bard of Avon spoke, exploring the tales of his life, his loves and his works.
The event wrapped up with a falconry demonstration by Mark Booth.
Also near Wauconda, the Lake County Discovery Museum is hosting an exhibit, "First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare," through Feb. 28. For information, visit lcfpd.org.
