Stop by Girl Scout drive-thru cookie sale at Hoffman Estates Police Department

On Saturday, Feb. 27, the Girl Scouts will be hosting a drive-thru cookie sale from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hoffman Estates Police Department, 411 West Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

The village and Girl Scout Troop 40172 are teaming up to provide a convenient way for the public to purchase their cookies and support "the troops."

Cookies are $4 per box and donations are being accepted to send boxes to the U.S. military.

Girl Scout Troops have been supporting U.S. troops for several years now, sending the soldiers a piece of home.

The U.S. Troops have been so appreciative of the effort and local Girl Scout Troops benefit from the profit from the sales.

Girl Scout Troop 40172 is hosting the sale.

Proceeds are being used to help fund the girls Gold Award Projects and to fund travel to Europe where they will participate in activities with girls from around the world at the two World Girl Scout and Girl Guide Centres they will be visiting.

Mayor Bill McLeod will be cutting the ribbon to open the drive-thru for business at 9:30 a.m.
