Arkansas to increase some football ticket prices this fall

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas has announced plans to raise football season ticket prices for many sections of Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville this fall.

But the university says ticket prices will decrease for some seats in the upper deck, as well as at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Athletic director Jeff Long announced Tuesday that season ticket prices will increase by $50 to $300, depending on which section of the stadium they're in.

Student ticket prices will remain unchanged. Long says the increase is needed because of growing costs in the athletic department.

Tickets for the Razorbacks' Oct. 1 game against Alcorn State in Little Rock will decrease to $35 or $45, depending on the section. Those tickets cost $55 in 2015.
