College of Lake County to celebrate Black History Month
College of Lake County will celebrate Black History Month with several free events at the college's flagship Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. First up, from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, will be pizza and a movie in Room C003. Guests will get to watch "Dear White People," a film that focuses on black students and their perspectives under the light of escalating racial problems at prestigious colleges. Other events include: Poetry and Jazz in Motion, Feb. 20; Black History Museum's Traveling Exhibit, Feb. 24; CLC Gospel Choir Concert, Feb. 27; and the college's 32nd Annual Salute to Gospel Music Program, April 2.
