Batavia Park District to host Volunteer Fair

The volunteer spirit runs deep in Batavia and the Tri-Cities. Volunteers are a vital part of the success of any organization and truly make a difference in the community.

In parks and recreation alone, more than a quarter of a million people nationwide donate their time and expertise annually, saving agencies and tax payers millions of dollars.

The Batavia Park District will host the second annual Volunteer Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St., in Batavia. A variety of organizations will be on hand to showcase the volunteer opportunities available.

Additional spots are available for exhibitors interested in having a space. The cost to exhibit is $15, which includes a table, recruitment opportunities, refreshments and more.
