ECC to host free FAFSA completion workshop Feb. 7

Elgin Community College is hosting a free FAFSA completion workshop from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Building E University and Business Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Students preparing to enroll in college this fall should begin the financial aid application now. All students, from high school juniors to adults returning to college, as well as parents seeking help with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid will receive individual assistance from ECC's financial aid experts during the workshop.

Families should bring all completed or estimated 2015 federal income tax forms, along with any other asset information for students and parents, in order to complete the FAFSA. If you have not completed your 2015 taxes, please bring along a copy of your W2's or a copy of your 2014 federal income tax.

This event is free and open to the public. For information, contact Mary Crowe, manager of financial aid and scholarships, at (847) 214-7432. Visit elgin.edu.
