Schaumburg approves new restaurant, art studio

Schaumburg soon will be welcoming two new businesses - an Asian cuisine restaurant and an art studio that will serve food and wine.

Village trustees Tuesday approved both enterprises, which are classified as restaurants even though food isn't the primary emphasis of the Bottle and Bottega franchise to be located in Town Square at the southwest corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads.

Franchise owner Karen Hautzinger said she plans to open her new business in April.

Bottle and Bottega will be located in a 1,790-square-foot space at 51 W. Schaumburg Road. It will allow customers - who often book as groups - to paint or create works of art while enjoying food, wine and socializing.

Bottle and Bottega recently opened a location in Arlington Heights, and also is in Glen Ellyn, Chicago, Evanston and LaGrange.

Also approved by the village board was Noodle Lounge, a restaurant that will serve a variety of noodle dishes, soups and nonalcoholic beverages for lunch, dinner and carryout.

Noodle Lounge will be located in a 1,542-square-foot space at 22 E. Golf Road, in the Schaumburg Corners Shopping Center. The restaurant will have seating for 30 people, though carryout is expected to provide about 20 percent of its business.
