Friends of Volo Bog board openings

Friends of the Volo Bog, a charitable organization incorporated to promote awareness of the Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside, has open positions on its governing board. Anyone interested should email fovb@mydb3.com. Meetings usually are on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at visitor center library. The next meeting is Jan. 28. The organization strives to preserve Volo Bog as a natural area through special events, educational and training programs, acquisitions of properties for such purposes and whatever steps deemed necessary to ensure its continued care and preservation.
