Rail Europe moving from Rosemont to Des Plaines
Rail Europe, the largest distributor of European rail products in North America, is relocating from Rosemont to Des Plaines, officials announced Tuesday.
The company will be moving from 9450 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Rosemont to 23,543 square feet of new office space at 1350 E. Touhy Ave. in Des Plaines by the end of 2016.
"Rail Europe's objective was to develop an environment that would enhance the effectiveness and engagement of its workforce, and contemplate expansion for future growth on the same floor plate," said Robert Sevim of Savills Studley, the commercial real estate firm that represents Rail Europe. "Relocating to 1350 E. Touhy provided the most economically viable opportunity for Rail Europe to successfully meet these requirements."
