Charitable contributions Barrington's NSDAR donates $7,700 to local organizations

It was a record year for fundraising for the Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR. Two successful fundraisers made it possible for the group to donate more than $7,700 to more than 30 organizations and programs that support the DAR mission of promoting historic preservation, education, conservation and patriotism.

"We are a great group and we make things happen," said Regent Kathy Boyle. "We are one the most active chapters in Illinois, and I am so proud of all we accomplished in 2015."

Planning for this year's events and fundraisers is already under way, with the 2016 date for the annual High Tea and Drama set for Oct. 19 at the Garlands of Barrington. To find out more about Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR, visit www.ildar.org/chapters/signalhill/Welcome.html
