North West Housing Partnership (NWHP) Hosts Free Homebuyer Workshops
If you're interested in learning more about the entire home buying process, from mortgage pre-approval to closing, Schaumburg-based North West Housing Partnership (NWHP) provides free monthly homebuyer workshops.
The non-profit offers the workshops at no cost to attendees, and those who complete it will receive a certificate of completion.
During the workshop, industry professionals will give presentations about how to obtain a mortgage, negotiate a contract, obtain homeowner's insurance and home inspections, in addition to a variety of other important topics when considering the purchase of a home.
"Buying a home is something that needs to be carefully planned, and we help to provide many resources for prospective homeowners on how to make their best choices by educating them," said Robyn Sandys, Executive Director of NWHP.
Attendees also could be eligible to qualify for affordable mortgage products, and will receive information about down payment assistance programs.
Other resources include information about the importance of a real estate attorney, and tips on home maintenance.
Registration is required to attend the workshops, which are held monthly on Saturdays. Please visit nwhp.net or call 847-969-0561 for more information. Those interested can also register online.
