Arlington Heights hosts community prayer breakfast Feb. 4

The public is invited to attend the Arlington Heights Mayor's Community Prayer Breakfast on Feb. 4, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago-Arlington Heights, 75 W. Algonquin Road.

The breakfast, organized by the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, will run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and is multidenominational.

"The breakfast is an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate their strengths and resources through their spirituality," according to a village release. The morning will involve prayer, music, reading and reflection.

The 2016 Message of Faith at the event will be presented by Wheeling Township Supervisor Michael Schroeder. There also will be participation from Mayor Tom Hayes, the Rev. Corey Brost of St. Viator High School, retired Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 school board member Ken Nielsen, Bridget Meskauskas, Darin Anderson, outreach pastor at The Orchard Evangelical Free Church, and music from the Quest Church Worship Team.

Registration for the event is available through the chamber's website, www.arlingtonhcc.com.
