Elgin Master Chorale Chamber Singers to present 'Songs of Freedom' to honor Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, the Elgin Master Chorale's Chamber Singers will present "Songs of Freedom," an educational experience for local students that combines music, history and culture. The concert will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in the Blizzard Theatre at Elgin Community College, 1900 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

With impactful guest speakers, professional soloists, and real-life examples of how African-Americans have shaped the world of music, this is a must-see for students and adults alike.
