In addition to playing Xander, the good-time Charlie character on the Disney Channel series "Bunk'd," Wilmette native Kevin Quinn also stars in the Disney Channel's upcoming remake of the 1987 Elisabeth Shue comedy "Adventures in Babysitting," partially filmed in Chicago.

"Adventures in Babysitting" follows two teen rival babysitters who must join forces to find one of their wards who runs away in the big city. The made-for-TV version airs sometime in June, Quinn said.

"I haven't seen it yet," Quinn said. "There may be a screening of it in January. I hope it's going to be good."

He paused.

"I know it's going to be good!" he amended. "We have such a great creative team behind us. Our executive producer (Michelle Manning) was a producer on 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Sixteen Candles.' She's amazing. She really brought things together. It's really going to be a great film."

For Disney star from Wilmette, 'biz' trumps 'show'
