Martini has strong record of service
In the race for the District 5 seat on the Lake County Board, I'd like to offer a strong endorsement for Judy Martini.
I've known Judy personally for 20 some years and felt she was very committed to her district's best interests during her past years of service in District 1. She does her homework, gathers the facts and works hard to serve her constituents.
While I like to emphasize the positives of my preferred candidate, I think voters need some background on her opponent, David Zipp. While his resume sounds impressive, his service has been lacking. In his position on the Gavin school board, he has attended four meetings on time, arrived late for five and missed six. A 60 percent attendance record is not what we need on the county board.
Being a member of an organization doesn't mean anything if you don't support it and do your part. David's record shows he doesn't. He may talk a good game and have some great ideas but if he's not there, they won't get done.
Judy's record of accomplishments is lengthy and impressive. She deserves our vote.
