District 37 board has a vacancy

Gavin Elementary District 37 is soliciting applicants to fill a vacant seat on the school board. Former District 37 board member Stan Pasciewicz resigned at the end of 2015, board officials said. Interested persons should send a letter to Superintendent, Gavin School District 37, 25775 W. Highway 134, Ingleside, IL 60041. The letter should include the reason why you want to serve on the board, past work and board history, and civic involvement. To serve on the District 37 board, a person must be a citizen of the United Slates, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the state of Illinois and live in Gavin school district for at least one year. The person must also be a registered voter. Letters should be received by Feb. 5. Anyone with questions should contact District 37 at (847) 546-2916.
