Couple found dead in Bloomingdale home ID'd

A 55-year-old man fatally shot his wife in the garage of their Bloomingdale home before turning the gun on himself, authorities said Saturday.

Police were called just after 5 p.m. Friday night to the 300 block of Norton Lane for reports of gunshots, police said. Officers found two people dead.

The DuPage County coroner's office identified the couple Saturday as Daniel L. Kudrna and his wife, Catherine Lee Kudrna, 54.

Authorities said Daniel Kudrna shot his wife multiple times in the home's garage. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head inside the home, authorities said.
