Women's self-defense class

Hawthorn Woods police are offering a women's self-defense program from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 24 to March 16. Spots are limited. This interactive program provides training in recognizing and responding to dangerous situations, and techniques for defending against and escaping attacks. Participants will learn how projecting confidence through body language can make you less of a target. Fees are $20 for residents or $25 for non-residents.
