In particular in the suburbs, President Preckwinkle has set a goal of eliminating unincorporated areas from county oversight. Do you agree with this approach? If so, how should the county go about it?I am a Fiscal Conservative and believe in trying to work within the constraints of revenues. I also feel competitive bidding, reviewing spending procedures, overreach on projected costs can send spending out of control. Upcoming federal cuts and fuel tax reductions will will force the county to cut additional expenditures. If any area of the county receives services from the county I feel county oversight should be considered.How do you rate the county government on transparency and the public's access to records? If you consider it adequate, please explain why. If you think improvements are needed, please describe them and why they are important.I always feel there is room for improvement on transparency. I feel the county should try to improve the areas the public is asking for the most since we all work for the people.
