Rose won't play vs. Pacers tonight

Derrick Rose was a late scratch from Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers due to right hamstring tendinitis. There was no mention of the injury until the Bulls sent out a release about an hour before tipoff at the United Center.

Kirk Hinrich is expected to start in Rose's place.

Rose had played in 27 of 29 games this season, missing two in mid-November due to a sprained left ankle. He's averaging 14.4 points and shooting 38.6 percent on the season, but his shooting touch has improved since he stopped wearing the face mask to protect a broken left orbital bone on Dec. 10.

Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said before the game forward Doug McDermott should be ready to play. He missed Monday's game against Toronto with a sore right knee.
