Downers Grove man charged in Wal-Mart shooting

A Downers Grove man is being held on $3 million bail, charged with shooting another man last week inside a Darien Wal-Mart.

Bradley Morris, 19, of the 1000 block of Palmer Street, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

Prosecutors said Morris was arrested Saturday morning as he was attempting to board a bus from Chicago to Florida.

Morris is accused of shooting another man around 5:40 p.m. Thursday inside the store at 2189 75th St.

Authorities have said the men knew each other and the shooting may have been a reaction to a previous drug deal gone bad.

Morris' next court date was set for Jan. 4.
