The Village of Antioch is situated halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee with a history dating back to the 1830s.

First settlers included Darius B. Gage, Thomas Q. Gage and Thomas Warner. The first home was built along Sequoit Creek and a sawmill was constructed in 1839 by Hiram Buttrick. The sawmill remains today along W. Depot St. near downtown.

Antioch is home to more than 15,000 people who have access to an abundance of lakes including Grass Lake, Channel Lake and Lake Catherine.

In and around the downtown area you'll find restaurants and bars, a community theater, a newly renovated movie theater, specialty and antique shops, the historical society and museum and Pickard China. Residents have easy access to other businesses and restaurants along the Route 173 corridor.

The Dickens Holiday Village and Antioch's Santa's Frozen Village are a couple holiday highlights during your visit to Antioch.
