3 teens killed in northern Illinois crash

MCHENRY, Ill. (AP) - Three 18-year-olds have died in a car crash in northern Illinois.

The McHenry County sheriff's office says the teens were traveling in a Chevrolet Camaro that veered off the road after a curve and struck several trees. The car rolled into a ravine and onto its side.

The crash happened Friday afternoon on South Lily Lake Road in Nunda Township, near McHenry.

The McHenry County coroner's office identified the victims as Kelly Cronin of Island Lake, James Seward of McHenry and Promise Williamsen of Holiday Hills.

No one else was in the car.

The cause is under investigation.
