Antioch tops Niles North, improves to 5-0

Amy Reiser poured in a career-high 26 points, and Antioch's girls basketball team remained undefeated with a 74-64 win over the host school in the Niles North tournament Saturday.

Reiser sank 10 shots, including a 3-pointer, from the floor and was 5 of 6 from the foul line, despite sitting an entire quarter due to foul trouble. She also racked up 14 rebounds. Ashley Reiser added 22 points (two 3-pointers) and 6 assists, as the Sequoits improved to 5-0. Erika Gallimore contributed 9 points, including a pair of 3s, and 4 steals.

Antioch will play Wheeling for the tournament championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Stevenson 41, Rockford Boylan 32: At Schaumburg, Ashley Richardson scored 14 points, as the Patriots concluded the tournament with a victory.

Klaire Steffens added 11 for Stevenson, which went 3-2 in the tourney. Richardson and Steffens were named to the all-tournament team.

Rich East 40, Libertyville 37: At Buffalo Grove, the Wildcats lost, despite 12 points from Maggie Piazzi.

Caroline Frea and Molly Cayce each had 8 points for Libertyville, which plays Buffalo Grove at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Barrington 47, Grayslake Central 33: Sophomore Ania Barnes scored 11 points for the Rams in their loss.

Grayslake Central takes on Maine South at 10 a.m. Saturday in its tournament finale.
