Islam teaches peace, not hateful acts

My deepest sympathies go out to the families of those affected by the barbaric attack on civilians in Paris, France. Islam categorically rejects violence and terrorism. The Holy Quran states, "Whosoever killed a person ... it shall be as if he killed all of mankind."

ISIS does not represent Islam. Nothing they do will change the facts. Islam teaches peace, harmony, sanctity of life and the freedom of religion. The Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, stated, "those who seek to justify their hateful acts in the name of Islam are serving only to defame it in the worst possible way."

May God give patience and strength to those affected by this tragedy, God says in the Holy Quran "seek help through perseverance and prayers, surely Allah is with those who patiently perseveres," and I hope those who perpetrated this barbaric attack are quickly brought to justice.
