Rotary Club to hold toy drive during parade

Bring your new, unwrapped toys to the St. Charles Holiday Electric Parade Saturday, Nov. 28, and help the St. Charles Breakfast Rotary Club collect toys for the Toys for Kids program.

The Rotarians want to make sure that all children get a visit from Santa this year.

Rotary volunteers will walk along the Holiday Electric Parade route with their "Rotary Float of Toys," accepting unwrapped toys from the Thanksgiving crowd.

All toys will be donated to the Tri-Cities Jim Wheeler Toys for Kids Program, which benefits children in need through The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps. This program is in its 32nd year and has been a great success due to all the support from residents.

The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and moves down Main Street, between Sixth Street and Fourth Avenue, in downtown St. Charles. Watch for the Breakfast Rotary's float and donate your toys as they pass. All unwrapped, new toys will be collected.
