Celebrating donation to Gurnee library
Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee will host a celebration at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, to mark the donation of a 2010 Ford Transit Connect van from Bob Rohrman Auto Group, based in Schaumburg. The donation came as the result of Rohrman's commitment to early literacy by bringing books to young readers, officials said. The van will be used to deliver materials to preschools, story times in the park, homebound patrons, senior housing lobbies and community events. The public is invited to meet Bob Rohrman in meeting room A. Refreshments will be served and the first 100 guests will receive a free gift. Registration is not required. "This fills a huge gap in our service needs," library Executive Director Ryan Livergood said of the van.
