COD to Host 14th Annual Pathophysiology Panorama Dec. 2

College of DuPage will host the 14th Annual Pathophysiology Panorama from 10 a.m. to

2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Health and Science Center Lobby.

This free event features diagnostic medical imaging students from the Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography and Sonography programs at COD who will display and discuss their in-depth research projects. This year's program will highlight a variety of diseases and pathologies such as Broken Heart Syndrome, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis, as well as child abuse imaging, which have been detected and recorded using various imaging processes.

The Diagnostic Medical Imaging - Nuclear Medicine (DMIN) and Diagnostic Medical Imaging - Radiography (DMIR) programs at College of DuPage are fully-accredited, competency-based programs that prepare students to sit for appropriate certification exams such as those administered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Students can also earn certificates in Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Computed Tomography, Mammography and Radiation Therapy.

In addition, the College offers an Associate in Applied Science degree program in Sonography as well as certificates in Diagnostic Medical Imaging Sonography (DMIS) and Diagnostic Medical Imaging Vascular Sonography (DMIV), as well as in Mammography, a one-semester post-radiography advanced certificate program available to graduates of an accredited Radiography program.
