Students from Addison Trail, Fenton, Glenbard East, Lake Park, Metea Valley, Waubonsie Valley, West Chicago and Willowbrook high schools visited COD's campus in Glen Ellyn to learn about various career paths in manufacturing and engineering. During their visit, the students met with local employers, including Chips Manufacturing, Domtar, GFK Custom Research, Jel Sert, Laser Technologies, Patten Industries, Signode Packaging and Spraying Systems Company, and watched a presentation from Morey Corporation. In addition, the students toured the College's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, learned about educational opportunities at COD and visited a local employer for an up close, hands-on look at a professional manufacturing environment.

Designed to introduce area high school students to the high growth and in-demand career paths in manufacturing and engineering, this event was presented by Choose DuPage, the DuPage Community Foundation, DuPage Workforce Board, Glenbard Township High School District 87, workNET DuPage/DuPage County Workforce Development and the Technology Center of DuPage.
