Stevenson named state's top high school

Lincolnshire's Stevenson High School has been ranked the best public high school in Illinois for the second straight year by niche.com, school officials announced.

Stevenson also was ranked fifth in the nation by the site, after finishing second on the national list in 2014.

Niche judges schools based on 10 criteria, including academics, administration and policies, educational outcomes, extracurriculars and student culture.
