Downtown Palatine kicks off holiday season Friday

Special deals on food and gifts, free wine tastings and prizes will be among the highlights Friday when the Downtown Palatine Business Association hosts its yearly Holidays on the Town event.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at nearly 20 downtown Palatine businesses, which will be offering festive hors d'oeuvres, sweets and wine along with a Rudolph Raffle, passport prizes and savings to start the holiday shopping season off right.

Passport to Prizes booklets can be purchased from any participating merchant for just $5.

The passport will provide entry into prize drawings for each location visited during the event. Additional Rudolph Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each or 6 for $5.

To make visitors' trip around downtown Palatine even easier, the organizers are providing a holiday trolley to provide transportation from shop to shop during the entire event.
