5K walk/run in Mundelein on Saturday
A 5K walk/run is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Steeple Chase Golf Club, 200 N. LaVista Drive, Mundelein. Cost is $20 in advance and $30 on event day. Ages 11 and under can run for free. Strollers are welcome. Proceeds benefit the Mundelein Parks Foundation, which provides recreational program scholarships for children. The Mundelein Parks Foundation receives requests for more than $10,000 every year for children's scholarships. Entry fee includes commemorative knit cap, snacks and running/walking for a great cause. No chip timing. Prizes will be given to overall male and female winners. Limited to 80 participants. Visit http://mundeleinparks.org/.
