Why aren't gang leaders called terrorists?

I am wondering why known high-level gang members in Chicago are not considered terrorists.

We allow these individuals to kill over and over again and recruit others to do their killing for them. Is this not the definition of a terrorist?

If these gang members were supporting Islam, we would be watching them like a hawk, but apparently we accept the fact that 25 to 30 shooting deaths in the city of Chicago are normal.

If there were 25 or 30 deaths that we linked to Islamic terrorists, we would have federal intervention.

I am not talking about 13- or 14-year-old recruits. I am talking about the people who are in charge of these gangs. If they were the mafia, they would be called Grandfathers of Mafia.

Every weekend, we read about the number of murders and the multitude of shootings. What is the difference if the assaults are done by "American Citizens" or they are done by ISIS extremists? What are we waiting for?

I am the biggest supporter of the Constitution, but we have to start thinking about why we support our "citizens" who are indiscrimately killing individuals. We would go to any length to capture and punish terrorists.

It is time to show these American terrorists that we have had enough. That we are not going to put up with it anymore. I am not in favor of federal intervention, but if our local and state departments cannot do something about it, then they need a federal wake up call.
