Nancy Irsay, 2nd wife of late Colts owner, dies at 65

CARMEL, Ind. (AP) - Nancy Irsay, the second wife of late Indianapolis Colts owner Robert Irsay, has died. She was 65.

An obituary on the website of Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin said she died Nov. 7. A representative of the mortuary said the cause of death was not being released.

Nancy Irsay married Robert Irsay in 1989, five years after he moved the Colts to Indianapolis from Baltimore. After his 1997 death, she fought with his son, current Colts owner Jim Irsay, over his estate until a settlement in which she received a horse farm and other properties and Jim Irsay got the Colts.

She ran unsuccessfully for the Indiana House of Representatives in 1998.
