Las Vegas Headliner to Perform in Prospect Heights on Friday the 13th
Jeff McBride Pushes His Luck by Presenting Las Vegas Headlining Show on Superstitious Day
Some people are scared to leave the house on Friday the 13th. It's called "triskaidekaphobia" and many Americans still suffer from it in the year 2015. Award-Winning Magician and current Las Vegas Headliner Jeff McBride isn't one of those people, as he presents his 90-minute one-man show "The McBride Experience."
The show is a new 90-minute full evening show featuring close-up, stand-up, mentalism, and stage magic.
Immediately following the show, Jeff will host a two-hour magicians-only lecture where he will teach material from his show, as well as mysteries from over 40 years of magical study.
Jeff McBride, a three-time award winner at the International Grand Prix of Magic in Monte Carlo, is widely recognized as a foremost innovator and a most exciting performer in contemporary magic. Naming him "Vegas' Best" Magician several years ago, the Las Vegas Review Journal wrote: "Light years ahead of the pack…McBride is easily the most exciting and mesmerizing magician I've seen in years." For several years, McBride headlined at Caesars Magical Empire in Las Vegas, where he was voted critics' choice as Best Magician in Las Vegas. He is also a three-time Guiness World Record holder. As seen on Criss Angel Mindfreak, Masters of Illusion, Celebracadabra, and Star Trek, with a role specially created for him.
In addition to his work as a performer, McBride is a much sought-after lecturer and
workshop leader for such diverse groups as The Smithsonian, The Disney Institute, the
International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Center for Symbolic Studies, and others. He is the founder of the McBride Magic and Mystery School, the world's only school for magicians.
McBride is hosted by the ACEs Magic Club. ACEs Magic Club was founded in 2009 as a club for magicians dedicated to promoting the art of magic through its education and performance in the Chicago area. ACEs is sponsored by PJs Trick Shop, and provides monthly magic gatherings, lectures, performances, and workshops to improve the art of magic.
Jeff McBride presents his new 90-minute show plus two-hour lecture on Friday, November 13th at 7:00 pm at the Rob Roy Country Club, 270 Country Club Dr, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Tickets are $30 for the show, $30 for the lecture, or $50 for both. Tickets can be purchased for cash at the door, or in advance at PJs Trick Shop, 2308 Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
