Woodland school to present fall play

Woodland Intermediate School's Drama Club will present its fall play, "Mystery at Shady Acres," at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13 in the school's multipurpose room, 1115 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee. This exciting whodunit is set at a quaint hotel in the English countryside. Although the business isn't doing well, there are several guests staying one exciting weekend. Among those guests are the wealthy and fabulous Fairfaxes from the United States, played by Lisa Kuriakose and Kenith Taukolo. During their stay Mrs. Fairfax's million dollar diamond necklace is stolen. It is up to the local police Chief Wickfield played by Andrew Haam, to solve this mystery. Every shady character in this hotel had the motive and the opportunity, so the audience's help will be needed to crack the case. Tickets cost $3 for adults, children 12 and under are free. A bake sale will be held to raise funds for the Intermediate Drama Department.
