State Rep. Mussman to chair Alliance on Domestic Violence
State Rep. Michelle Mussman of Schaumburg has been named chairwoman of the Northwest Suburban Alliance on Domestic Violence, succeeding state Sen. Matt Murphy, of Palatine. "I am very excited to use my new role to bring domestic violence issues and concerns into the forefront of public discussion," Mussman said. She will host a Domestic Violence Awareness Night from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Higgins Education Center, 1030 W. Higgins Road, Hoffman Estates, and will be joined by survivors and service providers who will share their personal experiences. The event is open to the public.
