Metra trains moving on BNSF Line after accident

Metra BNSF Line trains are on the move again after massive delays for thousands of commuters during the morning rush Thursday.

A pedestrian was hit by a Metra train in Berwyn around 7:45 a.m., resulting in all three tracks being shut down for emergency vehicles and a police investigation at that location.

At about 9:40 a.m., one of the three BNSF tracks was opened and full service was restored at about 12:30 p.m.

Delays reached up to two hours.
