Dance, dine out, play games and volunteer with St. Charles Singles Club

Activities with the St. Charles Singles Club continue through the busy holiday season and beyond. Open to singles aged 40 and older, there are dances, game nights, bowling and many opportunities to dine out.

Volunteer with them at the Northern Illinois Food Bank, 273 Dearborn Court in Geneva, on the third Thursday of each month. They will meet at the food bank at 8:45 a.m. Contact Carl at (630) 360-6769 for more information.

The Christmas Dinner Dance will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, at St. Andrews Country Club, Route 59 in West Chicago. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Cost for members is $48, visitors $53. Contact Marianne at (630) 659-7466 for more information or to purchase tickets.

Dancing at Villa Olivia in Bartlett is still scheduled for the second and fourth Mondays each month, with dance lessons offered at 6:30 p.m. on most nights and music provided by DJ Fast Freddy from 7:30 to 11 p.m. There will also be special dances coming up. On Nov. 30, the band Croozin the Loop will provide the music from 7:30 to 11 p.m. (But there will be no dance lessons Nov. 30.)
