Lake County Sheriff's K-9 Unit Seeks Public's Participation to Win $5,000

As of Thursday, October 29, 2015 the Lake County Sheriff's Office holds 2nd place in Aftermath's 4th Annual K9 Giveaway contest. The winner of the K9 contest receives $5,000 toward a K9 unit, safety equipment or training program. No other Lake County law enforcement agency is in the top five. The Lake County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's participation to reach #1 by October 31, 2015. The public can vote once a day through October 31 by linking to <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.aftermath.com/k9contest/">http://www.aftermath.com/k9contest/</a> and entering "Lake County Sheriff's Office" in the Department tab and "Waukegan" in the city tab. Adding photos of the K9s counts as an extra vote. Attached are several photos available to the public for submission. Additional photos are available on the Lake County Sheriff's Facebook page at <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.facebook.com/LakeCoILSheriff">https://www.facebook.com/LakeCoILSheriff</a>. The Lake County Sheriff's Office is excited to reach 2nd place and with the public's support is hopeful to reach 1st place.

Earlier this year, Lake County middle school students named the new K9's Dax, Diesel and Duke.
