Girls volleyball: Crystal Lake S., Harvest Christian regional champs
CL South d. DeKalb: Kendall Kilberger had 9 kills and 18 digs while Jordan Proszenyak added 9 kills and 10 digs to lead the Gators to a 25-20, 16-25, 25-19 win over the host Barbs for a Class 4A regional championship. Brookelynn Maddox (4 kills), Emily Slimko (28 assists) and Ariana Chelini (10 digs) also contributed for Crystal Lake South (22-15), which will play Prairie Ridge on Tuesday at the Hampshire sectional.
Harvest Christian d. Faith Lutheran: In the Class 1A regional title match at Faith Lutheran, Mikayla Robinson (13 kills), Kaitlyn Murray (22 assists) and Isa Garcia (7 digs) led the Lions (22-14) to a 25-9, 25-11 win and their fifth straight regional title.
