ATV crash victim remains in critical condition
A 32-year-old man remained in critical condition Sunday with injuries suffered earlier in the weekend when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving rolled over near Antioch.
The man, whose name was not released, was driving the ATV at about 2:15 a.m. along West Grass Lake Road in the area of Lake Shore Drive when the crash occurred, according to Lake County sheriff's police. Authorities say the man lost control of ATV, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle as it rolled over.
He was taken to Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville for treatment, police said.
Lake County Sheriff's Det. Christopher Covelli said Sunday the crash remains under investigation by the office's Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
