HandsOn volunteers help transform courtyard at Palatine school

HandsOn Suburban Chicago celebrated Make A Difference Day by helping Jane Addams School in Palatine transform its courtyard into an outdoor learning space.

HOSC's volunteers joined in working on various projects such as park bench construction, birdhouse building and painting.

HOSC's Volunteer Corps was created in response to the rising need for volunteers throughout the suburbs. HOSC organizes monthly community service projects that incorporate support from local businesses, community partners and volunteers to make a positive and lasting impact in the community.

The annual Make A Difference Day includes millions of volunteers from around the world working to improve the lives of others. Many of the 250 HandsOn Network affiliates lead Make A Difference Day projects across the country.
