Palatine Park Foundation presents Casual Cocktails

The Palatine Park Foundation will host its annual fundraiser, "2015 Casual Cocktails." The Tailgate Party is from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Durty Nellie's Restaurant, 180 N. Smith St., Palatine.

The ticket cost of $50 includes one free cocktail and a selection of appetizers. Raffles and a silent auction will also take place during the event. Notre Dame's Johnny Lattner will be attending this year's Tailgate Party and his Heisman Trophy will be there for photo opportunities.

All event proceeds will benefit the Palatine Park Foundation's Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to Palatine Park District residents who cannot afford to participate in the district's various athletic, recreational and social programs.

Tickets can also be purchased at the Palatine Park District Community Center, 250 E. Wood St., or any of the foundation members: Senator Matt Murphy, Jack O'Connor, Jim Lennon, Thommy MacNiff-Kolb, Don Skinner, and Dutch Schultz. Tickets will also be available at the door Oct. 26.

The Palatine Park Foundation's vision is to contribute to the health and well-being of the Palatine Park District's residents by providing program scholarship opportunities to residents with financial limitations, assisting in preserving "open space" in the Palatine Park District area, and providing funding assistance for projects or events that provide physical accessibility to all.

The Palatine Park Foundation is a nonprofit corporation; all donations are fully tax deductible as charitable contributions.
