Bolingbrook pimp sentenced to 47 years in prison

A 43-year-old Bolingbrook man convicted in 2013 of pimping women and girls as young as 17 was sentenced to 47 years in federal prison.

McKenzie Carson's sentence was handed down late Thursday. He will have to serve 85 percent of the time.

A jury convicted Carson on four counts of sex trafficking following his 2012 arrest. Four women testified against Carson at trial, telling jurors how Carson plied them with heroin and controlled their access to the drug while demanding they perform commercial sex acts and give him the proceeds.

The victims said Carson would beat them and rape them if they “broke his rules” or disobeyed him, according to court records. He had been operating the illicit business since 2010 while also working off and on as a cabdriver, prosecutors said.

One victim was 17 when she first met Carson. Prosecutors said Carson raped her and forced her into prostitution that same night after meeting at an Elk Grove Village motel.

Carson was facing a maximum sentence of life in prison.
