Countyline Tavern opens in former Buffalo Grove Winberie's

A much-anticipated replacement for a longtime Buffalo Grove dining staple opened this week.

Countyline Tavern has opened at 800 W. Lake-Cook Road, in the location formerly occupied by Winberie's Restaurant & Bar. Countyline Tavern features "craft American fare," such as ducktrap pastrami smoked salmon, chicken yakitori, and charcuterie boards, along with a craft beers, wine and top shelf spirits.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and brunch on Sundays, overseen by Executive Chef Eddie Jobin and General Manager Manuel Torres.

Winberie's, a fixture on the Buffalo Grove dining scene for nearly 30 years, closed in October 2014. The new owners did extensive renovations to the restaurant's interior and exterior.
