Girls volleyball: Burlington Central rolls to another win

Burlington Central d. Johnsburg: Lexi Murphy had 7 kills and 6 digs, Summer Smith 7 digs and 2 aces and Rachel Gaydos 10 digs to lead the Rockets (25-3, 12-0) to a 25-20, 25-11 Big Northern East win. Lexi DeWaard (16 assists, 8 digs), Kendall Boron (6 kills, 4 blocks) and Megan Lomos (5 kills) also contributed for BC.

Riverside-Brookfield d. St. Edward: Dominique Washington had 6 kills and 11 digs for the Green Wave (13-11, 6-6) in a 25-19, 25-14 Metro Suburban West loss.

Schaumburg Christian d. Westminster Christian: Emily Lamp (9 assists, 2 digs, 4 aces) led Westminster (3-23) in this nonconference loss.

McHenry d. Jacobs: Bridget Wallenberger (12 kills, 5 digs) and Katie Mahoney (9 kills) led Jacobs in an 11-25, 25-17, 25-20 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division loss. Paige Queffelec had 22 assists and 5 digs for the Golden Eagles while Monet Charron added 10 digs and Danielle Cassidy 9 digs.

Grayslake Central d. Hampshire: Allie Peters had 10 digs while Hannah Dalby added 9 digs and 9 assists for Hampshire (11-22) in a 25-18, 21-25, 25-18 FVC Fox loss.

Keith Country Day d. Harvest Christian: Amanda Cassidy had 6 kills for Harvest (16-11, 7-1) in a 25-17, 25-19 Northeastern Athletic Conference defeat.
