Geneva man killed in Batavia crash

A Geneva man has died as the result of a two-car crash Sunday evening in Batavia.

Todd Baker, 66, died at 1:40 a.m. Monday at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.

Around 7:20 p.m. he was driving a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine two-seat convertible east on Fabyan Parkway, turning left onto Batavia Avenue, when he collided with a westbound Jeep. Police say it appears he turned in front of the Jeep.

Both vehicles had a green light, according to police.

No tickets have been issued.

A female passenger in the Sunbeam was ejected from the car. She remains hospitalized at Good Samaritan, and police do not know her condition as of Tuesday morning.

The Jeep driver, an 18-year-old man, refused medical treatment at the scene.
